JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is closing the eastbound exit ramp from Interstate 70 to Boone County Route BB at Exit 115 next week for continuing work on the new Rocheport Bridge.
For the safety of both workers and the traveling public, the contractor overseeing construction of the new Lance Corporal Leon Deraps Interstate 70 Missouri River (Rocheport) Bridge will close the eastbound exit ramp daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 3 – 7, in order to move materials that are part of construction of the new eastbound bridge.
The ramp will reopen each evening. Interstate traffic is not expected to be impacted by the work.
Motorists wanting to access Route BB will need to travel to the next exit – Exit 117 at Route O/J – then travel westbound on I-70 back to Exit 115.
This work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
The Rocheport Bridge project is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2024.
