St. Joseph, Mo. – A project to replace the 70-year-old Platte River Bridge on Nodaway County Route NN is scheduled for the March 2025 contractor letting through the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. If awarded, the contractor may begin construction as early as spring 2025. All work must be complete on or before Dec. 1, 2025, to meet contract requirements.
Following a routine inspection in August 2024, crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation closed the bridge due to deterioration. Motorists will need to continue using an alternate route until the project is complete and the bridge is reopened.
