Emergency Response

Did you use the Emergency Response service? Let us know how we did!

MoDOT's Emergency Response operators are trained professionals who work closely with other emergency services to ensure the safety and efficiency of traffic. They can provide roadside assistance such as tire changes, fuel delivery and minor repairs. They also support fire, police and EMT crews during major incidents. Additionally, they perform emergency road maintenance, debris removal, and other tasks to improve the road conditions during off hours.

If you encounter a problem on patrol routes, you should safely move your vehicle to the right shoulder as far as possible, turn on your hazard lights, call 911 and wait in your vehicle for Emergency Response to arrive. That may be MoDOT's emergency response operators or law enforcement. Please do not leave your car, especially on the interstate. Please remember that Missouri state law requires you to move your vehicle out of the driving lane after an accident unless there are injuries, or the vehicle is immovable.
