Missourians want MoDOT to keep roads and bridges in good condition—smooth pavements and safe structures that handle growing traffic. With 33,814 miles of highway and 10,427 bridges, the challenge is significant, but we remain focused on using limited resources to maintain Missouri’s transportation system.

Bike/Pedestrian and ADA Transition Plan Improvements - 2d

MoDOT has identified 35,407 barriers within its right of way that need repair or construction to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. A transition plan is in place to address these barriers by August 2027.
