Paving and Bridge Work along I-435 from Three Trails Crossing to State Line Road Continue, Updated Lane Closures
JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation crews are completing concrete paving and bridge work over the next week that will impact I-435.
REMINDER: Crews will CLOSE northbound and southbound Wornall Road between the I-435 on ramps for bridge demolition starting at 6 p.m. TONIGHT until Sunday at 4 p.m.
Daily, Monday, Sept. 9 through Friday, Sept. 13: Crews continue paving the new lanes down the center barrier and will close the following lanes daily:
- Inside left lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Road to Blue River Bridge from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Inside left lane of westbound I-435 from the Three Trails Crossing to State Line Road from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Daily, Tuesday, Sept. 10 through Thursday, Sept. 12: Crews will close the TWO inside left lanes of eastbound I-435 from State Line Road to the Blue River Bridge from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for new pavement construction.
Monday, Sept. 9: Crews will close the two inside lanes of westbound I-435 from Holmes Road to State Line Road from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. They will also close the outside right lane of eastbound I-435 between the Wornall Road Ramps from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m for bridge reconstruction. This bridge work will also close the entrance ramp from Wornall Road to eastbound I-435.
Friday, Sept. 13: Crews will close the two inside lanes of westbound I-435 from Holmes Road to State Line Road from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Commuters can scout your route in advance at www.kcscout.net to review traffic impacts and consider any alternative routes. Also review the planned work on MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map at traveler.modot.org. All work is weather dependent.
This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
