Input sought on two Moniteau County bridge projects

Provide feedback May 14 - 28 in person, online, via email, or by traditional mail

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo Both the Missouri Route 179 bridge over Moniteau Creek and Route U bridge over Howard Creek are slated for deck replacements in 2025.

The supporting structures of both bridges are in good condition, but their decks have deteriorated and must be replaced. Improvements planned for both bridges include a new driving surface, updated barriers, and new guardrail at each corner.

As part of the design process, the Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking community input and has multiple ways by which interested parties can provide feedback during an open comment period, May 14-28. By commenting, questioning, and providing community insight, the public’s input is essential in helping to guide the design and construction process.
