Join MoDOT on the Katy Trail to talk about the Rocheport Bridge

Saturday Superintendent Talk June 15 at 9 a.m.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Rocheport Bridge Design-Build team, including the Missouri Department of Transportation and its consultant the Lunda Team, will gather with the public on the Katy Trail near Rocheport this Saturday, June 15, at 9 a.m. to update the public on the project’s progress and what is coming up next. Meet the team approximately 1.5 miles down the trail from the Rocheport trailhead. If a member of the public needs a ride, please send an email to rocheportbridge@modot.mo.gov before 5 p.m. Friday, June 14, and arrangements will be made to get you from the Rocheport trailhead to the talk location.

On the third Saturday of each month, the team invites the public to join them at a location close to the bridge to discuss the current status and what travelers can expect in the immediate future. With the new bridge construction going on in the background, the public has a unique opportunity to listen to and ask questions of some of the key people involved in the project.

More progress has been made on the eastbound bridge since our last Saturday Superintendent Talk in May 2024. The team will talk about the placement of girders, pouring the bridge deck, impacts to the Katy Trail, upcoming milestones, and what these mean for the next phases of the project. There will also be an opportunity for the public to ask questions of the team.
