MoDOT reschedules loop ramp closure from southbound I-55 to northbound US 67 for Wednesday, June 19

JEFFERSON COUNTY – Beginning Wednesday, June 19 at 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Thursday, June 20, crews will close the loop ramp from southbound I-55 to northbound US 67.

The closure was originally scheduled for Monday, June 17.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will place temporary concrete barrier in the auxiliary lane on northbound US Route 67 under the Interstate 55 bridges. The temporary concrete barrier will allow space for excavation and construction of a retaining wall to support the new I-55 bridge over US Route 67.

The temporary concrete barrier in the auxiliary lane under I-55 will reduce the length available to merge onto northbound US 67 from the southbound I-55 loop ramp. This temporary barrier will be in place through July.

Motorist are encouraged to exit southbound Interstate 55 at Route A and proceed to US 67 overnight on Wednesday, June 19. All work is weather permitting.

These closures are part of an I-55 design-build project in Jefferson County: Interstate 55 Corridor Upgrades in Jefferson | Missouri Department of Transportation (modot.org).
