Kaysinger Basin Bridge Bundle (KB3) Project Solicitation for Letters of Interest

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is soliciting Letters of Interest from companies interested in
providing Design-Build services for Southwest District’s Kaysinger Basin Bridge Bundle (KB3) Project.

The project’s primary purpose is to replace or rehabilitate poor condition rated bridges in the Kaysinger Basin area in the SW District.
There are up to 25 bridges in the bundle on various routes in Bates, Benton, Cedar, Henry, Hickory, St. Clair, and Vernon counties.
One Design-Build team will be selected to design and construct the project. MoDOT will use a Best Value selection process to evaluate
the ability of the Design-Build proposers to meet or exceed the following project goals:

  • Safely deliver the project within the programmed budget of $38 million
  • Maximize the number of locations to be addressed while providing quality, low maintenance structures and roadway approaches
  • Minimize impacts to the public through diligent construction efforts, flexibility in scheduling, and proactive communication
  • Deliver the project utilizing a diverse work force
  • Complete the project on or before November 15, 2027

An industry meeting is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2024. All project
information can be found at this website:

It is anticipated the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will be released on the same day as the presentation. Firms interested
in receiving KB3 Design-Build Project information should send a one-page Letter of Interest to MoDOT by e-mail at
KaysingerBridgeBundle@modot.mo.gov by the deadline posted on the website, to ensure that you receive all information. A response to
the e-mail will be sent verifying receipt of the letter. The Letters of Interest will allow MoDOT to compile a list of interested companies for
notices and any announcements relating to the KB3 Design-Build Project.

Include in your Letter of Interest, the company name and a contact person at your company including address, phone number and email.
If your firm is a Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE), indicate with which local or state agencies you are certified.
