Missouri Regional Bridge Program Award Announcement – FFY 2026

The Missouri Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the award of the Regional Bridge Program projects for federal fiscal year 2026.

The Regional Bridge Program replaces the previous off-system local bridge replacement program (BRO) and is federally funded using BRO funds and new funds available through the Bridge Formula Program (BFP) as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).

Applications for 201 projects were received statewide with a total project cost of over $162.5 million.  Sixty-three (63) projects with an estimated total project cost of approximately $54.6 million were awarded $49.9 million in regional federal funds.  Of the awarded bridge projects, 1 large bridge was selected to receive $500,000 of these federal funds.   Please see the links below for a complete list of the project awards for each of the six regions.  Please note that East-West Gateway Council of Governments selects regional bridge projects for the St. Louis Region through a separate competitive process.

The sponsors of awarded projects will soon receive official project award notification from their MoDOT District Local Public Agency program coordinator with information detailing the next steps in the project implementation process.
