Missouri LTAP NEWS: Work Zone Sign Packages Available! Apply NOW

Missouri LTAP and the Safety Circuit Rider Program were recently awarded a State Transportation Innovation Council (STIC) Incentive grant to provide training, signing, and channelizers to five local agencies in Missouri. Work Zone Safety and Flagger Training is one of our most delivered safety classes, and our instructor has shared that some smaller, under-resourced agencies do not have enough signs or channelizers to provide safe work zones. By providing the right materials and in-depth training, this project will improve worker and driver safety through consistent safer work zones across the state. The goal of this program is to support Local Public Agencies that do not currently have the proper signing equipment for work zones or one not in usable condition.

Missouri LTAP and the Safety Circuit Rider are looking for applicants to receive one of five Work Zone Sign Packages. Each package includes:

  • Two Road Work Ahead Signs
  • Two One Lane Road Signs
  • Two Flagger Image Signs
  • Six A Frame Sign Stands
  • Two Stop Slow Paddles with Handle
  • 50 Trimline Channelizers

Each recipient will receive a half day workshop training with a Missouri LTAP instructor, the Safety Circuit Rider, and additional state safety personnel.

Awards will be based on an application process, which will consider such criteria as agency size, resource deficiency and participation in other LTAP workforce development training. Notification of awardees is anticipated in mid-March. Please fill out the application by clicking the link below.
