Pavement repairs planned on U.S. Route 50 in Gasconade and Osage counties

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A project to resurface U.S. Route 50 from west of Linn to east of Rosebud is scheduled to begin next week with pavement repairs. Crews from Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to begin the full-depth pavement repairs Monday, March 31. Resurfacing work will follow soon after and will extend into mid-June, with edge line and pavement marking work to follow.

The road will remain open throughout construction however U.S. Route 50 will be narrowed to one lane in short segments with a flagger and pilot car directing motorists through the work zone. The single-lane closures will take place between 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

This resurfacing is part of a larger contract that also encompasses intersection improvements at U.S. Route 50 and Route CC in Linn, including installing a signalized intersection, and resurfacing on Route 19 from U.S. Route 50 to the Crawford/Gasconade County line. Throughout all phases and locations of construction, which is expected to continue through August 2025, drivers may experience single-lane closures, shifting traffic patterns, and temporarily stopped traffic. While all roadways are expected to remain open, please proceed with caution, slow down, and be prepared for delays.
