HANNIBAL – The following is a list of general highway maintenance work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northeast Missouri region for the next few weeks.
All road closures and planned roadwork may be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.
Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones.
Adair County
Missouri Route 11 (Shepard Avenue) – April 1, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Country Club Drive to Jamison Street in Kirksville between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
U.S. Route 63 (Northbound and Southbound) March 31 & April 1, LANE RESTRICTION for transmission line installation approximately 1.6 miles south of U.S. Route 63 and Missouri Route 11 intersection between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.
U.S. Business Route 63 (Southbound) – March 31 & April 1, LANE RESTRICTION for transmission line installation approximately 1.6 miles south of U.S. Route 63 and Missouri Route 11 intersection between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.
Knox County
Route E – March 31, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Route T to Missouri Route 6 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Macon County
Route YY – March 31 – April 4, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Marigold Avenue to Mahogany Street near Macon between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily.
Marion County
U.S. Route 36/I-72 (Eastbound) – April 1, LANE RESTRICTION for bridge maintenance from Illinois State Line to Central Avenue in Hannibal between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
U.S. Route 36/I-72 (Westbound) - April 2, LANE RESTRICTION for bridge maintenance from Illinois State Line to Central Avenue in Hannibal between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Monroe County
U.S. Route 24 – March 31, LANE RESTRICTION for railroad maintenance from Lawn Street to South Border Street in Monroe City between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

With an increased number of highway work zones in Missouri, we urge all drivers to pay attention every second while driving, especially through a work zone.
