MoDOT to close Conway under I-270 overnight April 3

ST. LOUIS – Eastbound motorists who use Conway under Interstate 270 will need to determine alternate routes overnight this Thursday, weather permitting.

Crews will close eastbound Conway Road under Interstate 270 starting at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, to place girders over the road as part of constructing the new interstate bridge. The westbound lane is currently closed for ongoing construction.

Drivers will still be able to get to Mercy Hospital east of I-270 using Ballas Road to Conway, and drivers will be able to get to portions of Conway west of I-270 from the I-64 north outer road. There is no additional impact to traffic on Interstate 270 during this demolition.

This work may be canceled or delayed due to inclement weather.

Only the eastbound lane on Conway will reopen by 5 a.m. Friday, April 4. The westbound lane will remain closed through late fall.

The Conway Road closure is part of the continuing work to replace the I-270 bridge over Conway Road and widen the I-270 bridge over Ladue Road.
