St. Joseph, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of April 28-May 4.
There also may be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. Check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org, or download the app for updated information.

Andrew County
Interstate 29 – Resurfacing from U.S. Route 59 north of the Nodaway River to Business 71 north of St. Joseph through July 2025. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)
- This project will include intermittent ramp CLOSURES at the following locations between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.:
- Northbound I-29 to/from Business 71 (Exit 53 to Savannah), April 29.
- Northbound I-229 to/from northbound I-29 (Exit 14BC), April 30-May 1.
- Northbound I-29 to/from U.S. Route 59 (Exit 65 to Fillmore), May 3.

Atchison County
I-29 – Narrowed to one lane in each direction at the Mill Creek Bridges, south of Rock Port, for bridge rehabilitation project through September 2025. (Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc).
Route W – Pothole patching from Route J to N Avenue, April 30-May 1, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Buchanan County

Route C – Resurfacing project April 28-30. The roadway will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone. (Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction, LLC)

U.S. Route 36 – Concrete replacement eastbound driving lane at Route 33 in Osborn, April 28-29.
Holt County
I-29 – Resurfacing from U.S. Route 59 north of the Nodaway River to Business 71 north of St. Joseph through July 2025. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.).
- This project will include an intermittent ramp CLOSURE at the ramp from northbound I-29 to/from Route 50 (Exit 67 to Oregon), May 4-5, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
I-29 (northbound) – Slide repair south of Route W near Corning through April 2025 (Contractor: C.P. Excavating, LLC).
Route P – Pothole patching, April 28.
Route O – Pothole patching, April 29.
Route 113 – Pothole patching, April 30-May 2.
Linn County
U.S. Route 36 – Concrete replacement eastbound driving lane from Route F to Route 5, April 28-May 2.
Route TT – CLOSED in one-mile increments for pothole patching from U.S. Route 36 to Route 139 in Chariton County, April 28-May 1, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Route ZZ – Resurfacing project, April 26-May 5. The roadway will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone. (Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction, LLC)
Livingston County
U.S. Route 65 – Resurfacing project, April 28-May 3. Crews will be repairing entrances and curbs in Chillicothe from Business U.S. 36 working north to Second Street. (Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction, LLC).
Nodaway County
Route NN – CLOSED until further notice at the Platte River Bridge west of Parnell due to significant bridge deterioration.
