Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

June 9 - 15, 2025

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the midMissouri area June 915, 2025. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.      

All Counties 

Striping is scheduled on various routes across all counties, including nighttime striping on Interstate 70 and Interstate 44 through the month of June. Lane closures will be utilized to minimize the tracking of wet paint. 

Other moving operations such as pothole patching, mowing, and pavement repairs continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment. 

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change. 

Boone County   

Missouri Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) – Roadside work planned June 9 13 from Providence Road to West Boulevard. Work is being done by the city of Columbia under a MoDOT-issued permit.     

Routes V and U Resurfacing continues from Missouri Route 22 to Missouri Route 124. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is expected to continue through July 2025. 

Route E Guardrail work continues from Industrial Drive to Route 124. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is expected to continue through June 2025. 

Route PP Guardrail work and striping continues from Tanzanite Drive to Dusty Rhodes Lane. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is expected to continue through June 2025. 

U.S. Route 63 Interchange improvements continue. U.S. Route 63 traffic is shifted and narrowed from Sugar Grove Road to approximately 1 mile north of Route AC (Grindstone Parkway). A 10-foot width restriction is in place. The project is expected to continue through November 2026. 

U.S. Route 63 Bridge construction continues between the Broadway overpass and Conley Road underpass in Columbia. U.S. Route 63 will remain open but in a head-to-head configuration with narrowed lanes and reduced speeds. This traffic pattern is expected to be in place through August 2025. The bridge construction is part of the Improve I-70 program. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity. 

I-70New pavement construction continues between Route B (Paris Road) and U.S. Route 63 as part of Improve I-70. Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project, which is expected to be complete in 2027. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity. 

Callaway County 

Route A – Pavement repairs planned June 912. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route M Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is expected to continue through June 2025. 

U.S. Route 54 – Resurfacing continues from Route H in Fulton to Auxvasse Creek in Kingdom City, north of I-70. Single-lane closures will occur at varying times, depending on the location. Expect delays during morning and evening rush hours. The project is expected to continue through June 2025. 

Route Z Resurfacing scheduled to begin June 10 from Business Route 54 in the city of Fulton to I70. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is expected to continue through July 2025. 

South Outer Road 70 (Jade Road) CLOSED for a culvert replacement project at Sallees Creek. Motorists will need to use at alternate route during the closure, which is expected to continue through February 2026. 

I-70 – New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line (near mile marker 136.6) to Kingdom City (near mile marker 148) as part of the Improve I-70 Program. Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project, which has an overall completion date in 2027. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity 

Camden County 

Business Route 54 (Osage Beach Parkway) Pedestrian facility upgrades continue between Case Road and Jefferies Road. Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2025.  

Cole County 

Route B – Pavement repairs planned June 10 – 12 through the city limits of Wardsville. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes V and MM Resurfacing scheduled to begin June 9. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is expected to continue through June 2025. 

U.S. Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues over Linden Drive and Stadium Boulevard. U.S. Route 54 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between Business Route 50 (Missouri Boulevard) and Stadium Boulevard. An 11-foot width restriction and speed reductions as low as 35 mph are in place through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2025.  

Associated ramps CLOSED through October 2025. Motorists will need to use alternate routes: 

  • Madison Street on-ramp to westbound U.S. Route 54. 
  • U.S. Route 54 eastbound off-ramp to Madison Street. 
  • U.S. Route 54 westbound off-ramp to Stadium Boulevard. 
  • Christy Drive on-ramp to eastbound U.S. Route 54. 

Cooper County 

I-70 – Bridge maintenance scheduled June 9 – 12 at the Lamine River Bridge (mile marker 93). The eastbound and westbound driving (right) lanes will be closed daily  

Routes J and AA – Pavement repairs planned June 9 – 12. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route H – Pavement resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2025. 

Crawford County 

Missouri Route 8 – Culvert replacement planned June 912 from Missouri Route 19 to Route T. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 19 – Roadside work planned June 912 from Missouri Route 49 to Route VV. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route M – Culvert replacement planned June 912 from Route U to Route VV. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route C – CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project over I-44 in Bourbon. Motorists must use an alternate route for the duration of the work, which is expected to be complete in August 2025. 

 Gasconade County 

Route 19 – Pavement repairs planned June 912 from Route NN to Missouri Route 100. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

U.S. Route 50 – Pavement resurfacing continues from west of Linn to east of Rosebud. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2026. 

Howard County 

Missouri Route 5 – Bridge replacement continues over Bear Creek in Glasgow. One lane will remain open, and temporary traffic signals will direct motorists through the work zone. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2025. 

Laclede County 

Routes K, AC, JJ, and NN – Pavement repairs planned June 912. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes C and PPResurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2025. 

South Outer Road 44 CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation continues over Bear Creek. Motorist must use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2025. 

Maries County 

Route C – Culvert replacement planned June 912 from Route H to County Road 424. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes A and AA – Pavement repairs planned June 9 – 12. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Miller County 

Route H – Culvert replacement planned June 912. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes V and FF – Pavement repairs planned June 912. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Moniteau County 

Route F – Culvert replacement planned June 10 – 12. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes V and MM Resurfacing scheduled to begin June 9. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is expected to continue through June 2025. 

Missouri Route 179 CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project over Moniteau Creek. A signed detour is in place to direct motorist around the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2025.  

Route H – Pavement resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2025. 

Missouri Route 87 and Route C intersection – Roundabout construction scheduled to begin June 9.  The intersection will remain open but lane closures will be in place with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone. Motorists should expect delays. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025. 

Morgan County 

Route WW – Culvert replacement planned June 10. The roadway will be CLOSED from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Missouri Route 52 Roundabout construction continues in Versailles at the intersection of Route 52 and Route 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025. 

Osage County 

U.S. Route 50 – Pavement resurfacing continues from west of Linn to east of Rosebud, including at intersections in the area of State Technical College of Missouri, in Linn. One lane will remain open and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2026. 

Phelps County 

Routes P, W, and AA – Pavement repairs planned June 912. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes 72 and KKPedestrian facility upgrades continue on Route 72 in Rolla and Route KK in St. James. Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025. 

I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues eastbound from Exit 186 (U.S. Route 63) in Rolla to Exit 195 (Missouri Route 68) in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures weekly, beginning at 11 p.m. on Sundays and continuing through 6 a.m. on Fridays. 

Pulaski County 

Saint Robert Outer Road (Outer Road 44) – Pavement resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2025. 

Washington County 

Missouri Route 104 Pavement repairs planned June 912 through Washington State Park. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route U Culvert replacement planned June 912 at Providence Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route A – Roadside work planned June 9 – 18 at Indian Creek. Work is being done by UES Professional Solutions 25, LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit between 7:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly.    

Missouri Route 8 – Bridge rehabilitation continues over the Union Pacific Railroad. Route 8 will remain open throughout the project but may intermittently narrow to one lane. Motorists should expect delays. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2025. 

Route C CLOSED for a bridge replacement project over Big River. A signed detour is in place to direct motorist around the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2025.
