ST. LOUIS – Drivers in Jefferson County who use Route A to access northbound Interstate 55 should be aware the ramp will close overnight Friday, January 9 for bridge construction.
Weather permitting, crews will close the ramp from Route A to northbound I-55 as well as the right lane of northbound I-55 Friday, January 9, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to set girders for the I-55 bridge over Central Avenue.
A signed detour will direct traffic around the closure. Drivers can take U.S. Route 61/Route 67 north toward Herculaneum, take a left onto McNutt Street and take the ramp on the right side of McNutt to enter northbound I-55.
