JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The planned closure for the Washington County Route W bridge over Ashley Branch has been rescheduled to begin Monday, June 8.
Crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close the bridge to all traffic beginning June 8, and it will remain closed around-the-clock through the end of July. During the closure, motorists must use an alternate routes.
Built in 1963, the supporting structures are in good condition, but the driving surface is nearing the end of its useful life and is in need of replacement. The new driving surface will be 24 feet wide, the same as the current structure.
