The tire chain tensioner bar improves the original bar used for tightening tire chains. The original bar was very small and therefore difficult to create enough leverage when tightening tire chains. The longer tool generates more leverage, ensuring that the chains are as tight as possible. This reduces the risk that chains will fall off and be lost or even damage the fender of the truck. It also reduces the time necessary to tighten the chains and reduces the chance of injury to hands.
