Innovation Description and Benefit:
A face-to-face conversation is always preferred to verify if a property owner has an issued MoDOT permit. The encroachment sign is intended to be a "notice" to inform property owner and contractor performing work within MoDOT right of way when no one is present and a MoDOT permit cannot be verified. Signs shall be placed parallel and at the right of way line in the vicinity of the work being performed.
