Innovation Description and Benefit:

This innovation is a poly block that is used to replace the old metal ball bearings on the chains of a cinder bed. The metal bearings have to be greased every storm and are known to fail without warning. If those bearings fail, the chain will wrap up and take the bed out of service. With our poly block, we replace the metal bearing and eliminate the need to grease that part of the cinder bed. The shaft for the chain simply slides into the block and because it moves slowly, the poly block never wears out.  We have been using them for over 15 years and never had one fail.
