Innovation Description and Benefit:

It can be difficult to find ways to honor and thank our veterans, especially in the Covid-19 era when get togethers are not possible. We wanted to find a personal item for our veterans to take home that would show them their co-workers were thinking of them as well as a way to honor their service to our country. The Veteran’s Day Employee Poster is an electronic document that allows supervisors to personalize each poster and hang in their areas for other employees to safely sign and then deliver to the honorees. This is an almost zero cost way to honor our employees, only needing to be printed – and yet extremely personal. Since it is electronic, we can forego using the mail, saving time since it’s immediately available for supervisors to access. If extra copies are needed, they can print and use them. Every employee can be recognized. In areas where employees are not coming in, it is possible to save this as a pdf and allow others to electronically sign the document as well.
