Narrative Description

The bridge is a steel, 4-panel, pin-connected Bedstead Pratt Pony Truss 61.0-foot long structure with steel truss legs. It has two steel I-beam approach spans for a total structure length of 90.9’. The structure currently utilizes a timber deck that is 12.2 feet wide. 

According to the Missouri Bridge Inventory (Fraser 1996), the bridge was constructed in 1911. The bridge is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places under Criterion C for engineering.

 

Monroe County is now accepting proposals for the relocation and reuse of the bridge or its components until Monday, September 1, 2025. A proposal checklist is available MoDOT’s Free Bridges website (http://www.modot.org/freebridges/). Preservation covenants may accompany the bridge.
