Narrative Description

The bridge is a two-span concrete tee beam structure with a cast-in-place concrete deck. The longest span is 23.6 feet with an overall structure length of 46.9 feet. The bridge highlights plainly detailed concrete guardrails and bulkheads. The bridge is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places under Criterion C for engineering, as the earliest example of an uncommon structure type in the State of Missouri, predating standardization by the state highway department.

Ralls County is now accepting proposals for the use-in-place of the bridge or its components (it is not anticipated relocation and reuse, while maintaining its structural integrity, to be a viable option) until Monday, September 1, 2025. A proposal checklist is available MoDOT’s Free Bridges website (http://www.modot.org/freebridges/). Preservation covenants may accompany the bridge.
