Innovation Description and Benefit:

Instead of having to climb up the side of our trucks and then lift heavy and awkward lids by hand, our crew now uses the Hot Box Lid Assist.  This innovation uses a hydraulic valve assembly that can redirect hydraulic flow from the truck to a spinner motor that powers a wench that can open and close the lids. The Hot Box Lid Assist removes the dangerous task of climbing trucks and allows a person to open and close the lids from the safety of the ground.
