Innovation Description and Benefit:

This innovation is the addition of a six-inch mirror and a rod made of square tubing used as a reference point positioned to allow the paver operator to see behind him or her to eliminate the need for a spotter next to oncoming traffic. The Paver Lookout improves safety by providing an extra set of eyes for the operator running the paving machine.
