Tack Oil Sprayer

Submitted by: Central District

Innovation Description and Benefit:

The Tack Oil Sprayer is an innovative approach to filling potholes, replacing the outdated method of using a messy, five-gallon bucket to pour the tack oil.  The tack oil is now placed in containers that hold about 32 ounces, depending on the job type eight to 12 cans will be prepped for the day.  These containers are compatible with a spray nozzle that is used to spray the tack oil in neat even layers.  By moving to this method, a day that would have used up to six five-gallon buckets, now comes down to only using up one bucket while still covering the same amount of holes.
