The Realty Assets Planner innovation includes the Utilization of Microsoft Teams Planner to coordinate Realty Asset Management in District Right of Way. Land related transactions tend to have multiple steps that rely on interdepartmental cooperation. This tool allows for better coordination. Each task details logical steps via a checklist to refresh the user on what is required for Leases, Excess Land, and Road Relinquishments. The use of Agile tools over traditional Project Management tools provides flexibility, most notably Kanban Boards, which allow moving items into different phases as needed. The Kansas City District performs Realty Assets duties from the cradle to the grave, and Other Districts may distribute them. The Planner allows the user to cross-functionally assign work while still allowing group collaboration.
