Innovation Description and Benefit:
The Roster Entry System is a two-part system that gives safety technical trainers the ability to upload training documents from their MoDOT phone without having to wait to get back to their office. The RES uses Power Automation flows to temporarily store and manage the entries in SharePoint, where MOVERS Learn admins can track and manage thousands of training documents as they get permanently entered into MOVERS Learn. It leverages Power Automate to automatically send emails to trainers when items need more information before they can be entered. This also automatically emails trainers when items are completed. The system has built in timers that start when rosters are received or put in a follow up status, adding a layer of accountability and insurance that the submissions are completed in a timely fashion. Finally, by using the RES, data is automatically collected and compiled to inform leadership and guide business decisions as it relates to safety technical training.
