Innovation Description and Benefit:

The Snow Plowable Island Nose allows snowplows to ride up on top of the curb and slide off the back without any damage to the blade. Before this, the typical MoDOT Island noses were vertical and around six inches tall. This new design came from observing what states such as Wisconsin, Colorado and Utah, that see large volumes of snow, have been using.
