Innovation Description and Benefit:

The original work zone typical applications (TA) were a one page document showing the work zone figure and guidance.  The guidance did not have a flow to help set-up the work zone.  The TA sub-team develop the new typical applications into a multi-page typical application.  The first page is dedicated to wording description and the following pages are the figures and diagrams.  The wording is now bullet point and not paragraph form to provide focused direction.  The wording directs how set up a work zone starting with Advanced Warning Area, Transition Area, Activity Area and Termination Area. This innovation provides clear direction of what is needed to set-up a work zone.
